(VEN) - The Transimex Corporation is the optimal choice of a large number of international partners as they provide complete logistics solutions from inland transportation, ocean shipping and air freight to warehousing, distribution and customs services.

The Thang Long Logistics Center project in Di Su Commune, My Hao District, Hung Yen Province, invested by Transimex with a total investment capital of nearly VND280 billion, officially got started on October 31, 2017.

The project covers a total area of nearly three hectares, including a system of general storage, frozen storage and cool storage. With convenient location adjacent to the Thang Long Industrial Park II and 25km from Hanoi, the center will focus on developing integrated and total logistics solutions, and will be operational based on a model for third-party logistics from August 2018, contributing to possessing and operating the top logistics centers in order to welcome the country’s integration process.

Transimex also inaugurated a 10ha logistics center at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) in Ho Chi Minh City in April 2016. Le Duy Hiep, general director of Transimex, said, “This is the most modern logistics center in the country. After six months of operation, the rate of exploitation of goods and services has reached the maximum capacity.” The corporation also put into use the 9th container barge to increase its container transshipment capacity to more than 3,000 TEU per week in 2016. The continued investment in infrastructure has helped Transimex meet customer needs. Revenues and profits have continuously increased thanks to becoming a partner of a number of major international brands such as Pepsi, Fujitsu, Nestle and Samsung. In 2016, Transimex’s revenues reached over VND616 billion, while profit before tax totaled VND192 billion, meaning that the corporation’s investment have gone in the right direction, with a focus on the core business activities.

Hiep said that there are many potential and opportunities for logistics development. To make most of opportunities, the corporation has made careful preparations in terms of infrastructure and human resources. In addition, the corporation will continue to work with partners to improve its competitiveness, and promote the application of information technology in management and operation. Hiep also added that logistics businesses need support from the government in adopting appropriate mechanisms and policies and strengthening e-commerce to develop services.

In the coming time, Transimex will continue to complete the logistics service chain, and coordinate with partners to develop integrated and total logistics solutions in order to realize the vision of becoming a leading company providing integrated and total logistics solutions in Vietnam.
