Transimex Joint Stock Company invests in a Transimex Sun container ship and 300 new Transimex containers

On June 13, 2023, Transimex Shipping Joint Stock Company (Subsidiary of Transimex) held a ceremony to receive the Transimex Sun container ship and 300 newly built Transimex containers at MPC Port, Hải Phòng. This is the first ship and container owned by Transimex, marking a historical turning point for Transimex Group: it is the first time the corporation has directly participated in Vietnam's seaborne container transport market.

The Transimex Sun ship (initially named A ASO) was built at the HAKATA shipyard in Japan, but has since inherited Vietnamese nationality. It has the following technical specifications:

GRT = 12.559 Tons

DWT= 13,800MT at 8.5m draft

Total length = 147m

Sức chở định danh = 1060 TEU

Carrying capacity according to HOMO 14T = 750 TEU (On board there are 104 electrical plugs for reefer containers.)

Transimex Shipping Joint Stock Company will provide the following services to customers:

• Inland container transportation service by North-South/South-North routes, port-to-port and door-to-door.
• Empty container repositioning service for shipping lines.
• Project cargo transportation service by domestic sea.
